Variety or Cultivar:
'Faust' ~ 'Faust' is a perennial with an erect habit. Its divided foliage is dark-green. In summer it bears erect racemes of dark-eyed, dark-blue and purple, semi-double flowers.
Plant in a fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Apply a fortnightly balanced liquid feed during the growing season. Stake with bamboo canes in mid-spring.

Thin shoots when plant is 7cm high to 2-3 shoots on young plants and 5-7 shoots on established plants to promote best flowers. Deadhead by cutting spent flower spikes back to small flowering side shoots. Cut back to ground level in autumn.
