S. patens ~ S. patens is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with small, aromatic foliage and open panicles of blue flowers on spikes in summer and autumn.
Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist, free-draining soil in a sheltered, ideally sunny position.
